In The Beginning

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day" (Genesis 1:1-5).

“In the beginning.” We should be ready to share when and where God saved us and speak often of our personal testimony. The first five books of the Bible recount what God did. The opening five verses of Genesis show Him establishing the New Testament plan of salvation by separating light from darkness. Salvation does the same: God brings us out of darkness into His marvelous light. Do you remember the day you were saved? Never forget your testimony. Share it often with everyone willing to listen.
