God is generous and so he calls us to be as well. What we do with what God has given us shows the world where our hearts are at and helps proclaim the gospel. We want to glorify God with every area of our lives, and that includes what we do with our finances.
Jesus Comes First
We believe money is among the top rivals for our loyalty to Jesus (Matthew 6:24). Giving demonstrates, in a tangible way, that He is more important to us than material things.
We also believe you cannot outgive God. When we trust Him with our tithes and offerings, we can be confident He will provide for and bless what remains (Proverbs 3:9-10; Malachi 3:10-12).
We believe Christians should be among the most generous people on earth (2 Corinthians 9:6). Our generosity supports worthy causes, and we believe no organization has greater
potential to change the world than the local church (Ephesians 3:10).
Why Tithing?
A tithe—which simply means “tenth”—is the first 10% of a person’s income to be given back to God through the local church. Tithing is a principle taught throughout the Bible. When we tithe, we express worship tangibly by putting God first in our lives. Bringing our tithes is an opportunity to give God our thanks, show that we trust Him, and fight against greed in our hearts…all while being part of the most important work in life, which is spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ!
