Our God Is Never Weary

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:28-31)

When we read Isaiah chapter 40, most of the time we focus on the last verse. "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." But really the focus should be on verse 28. "Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary?" If God doesn't faint and isn't weary, then why are so many Christians weak and tired out. Are you spending your strength on things that don’t matter or pursuing them for the wrong reasons? Take heart, and don’t let yourself grow faint or weary. Keep your mind stayed on Christ and you won't grow weary nor faint.
